About the project
The TEMPO (TMS Experiment with Mobility in the Physical world using Overture) project aims to develop technology that will assist a move to decentralised/distributed control for Traffic Management Systems (TMSs). TEMPO will create a basis for new approaches to distributed traffic management CPSs that will facilitate the introduction of cooperative vehicles without sacrificing vehicle safety or the robustness of the traffic network. TEMPO furthermore addresses smart, green and integrated transport. Improvements in the management of traffic have direct impacts on commerce and on the environment.
